Travis Barker shared his father’s emotions and how diffiсult it is for him to have a baby at his age
Being a father is the greatest source of pride for Travis Barker.
The 48-year-old drummer for Blink-182 talked candidly about adjusting to parenting with his 8-month-old son Rocky, whom he welcomed with wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker last year, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
«Bringing a human being into the world or having a baby is the most wonderful thing you could do at any time in your life,» states Barker,
adding that he experienced a «crash course» in life when Atiana De La Hoya, 25, entered his life at a young age.
The birth of his son, Landon Barker, 20, and daughter, Alabama Luella Barker, 18, «learned so much,» he continues, «because they were born really close to each other.»
In regard to Rocky, Barker remarks, «It’s just as good as I remembered it.»
«I just love being a dad,» declares the founder of Barker Wellness. «That’s my favorite accomplishment, it’s my favorite thing I get to do every day.»
Barker even recollected what transpired when he discovered he was expecting Landon. Barker will conduct his Run Travis Run events in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 6, and another in Queens, New York, on Sunday, July 21.
«The day I found out, I left my house and I ran to the freeway,» he recalls. «It was four miles, and then I ran four miles back, too.»
According to him, «I had this urge to just be the best version of myself, be healthy and take care of myself more — and I think that’s never gone away.»
When Rocky and Kourtney welcomed him back in November, an insider told PEOPLE that the reality TV star was «over the moon about her son’s arrival.»
The insider claimed that «her pregnancy took a stressful turn towards the end.» She is delighted that she can finally cuddle her little boy. She is quite grateful.»
