Salma Hayek meditates with her adorable pet owl on top of her head
Salma Hayek happily meditated with the help of her adorable pet own named Kering in a new video shared to Instagram on Sunday.
The Form Dusk Till Dawn actress, 57 — who recently put on a busty display in a plunging blue swimsuit — sat cross-legged on the floor of a spacious room with the animal perched on top of her head.
The star opted for comfort while sporting a pair of warm, gray sweatpants as well as a printed, Janis Joplin shirt.
Her dark locks were parted in the middle, and easily pulled back into a simple, low ponytail.
Hayek added rainbow graphics that lit up around her body while calming, instrumental music played in the background of the reel.
In the caption of the post, Salma penned to her 28.5 million fans and followers, ‘Love meditating with an owl on my head #meditate,’ and also translated the message into Spanish.
Back in 2019, the actress rescued the southern, white-faced owl and gifted the sweet bird to her husband, François-Henri Pinault.
During an interview with people in 2021, she opened up about Kering and recalled, ‘I gave it to my husband as a Valentine’s present and named her Kering because that’s the name of his company and their symbol of the owl.’
She humorously added, ‘And he was like, «Well, thank you, but I know this is your own present for yourself.»‘
Hayek explained that she has a close bond with the owl and expressed, ‘When my husband is not in town, she sleeps in the room with me.’
‘We have certain routines before we go to sleep. I watch TV with my iPad, and she likes to stand on the iPad.’
The star then revealed one of Kering’s unique qualities and informed the outlet, ‘Even though owls don’t drink liquids because they take everything from their prey, she likes good wine, this one.’
The owl often spends time on Salma’s ‘head or my shoulder, my arms.’
‘Sometimes, when she is really close to me, I can feel her rubbing against me, which is really nice. And I feel so blessed.’
