One of the musicians who is killing it this summer is Sabrina Carpenter! The 25-year-old pop sensation just took over the top spot on the worldwide Spotify list, which she had previously held with, well, herself.
Sabrina’s first song from Short N’ Sweet, «Espresso,» once again earned the top slot, and her most recent hit, «Please Please Please,» was pushed down.
Following the release of «Please Please Please» in the middle of June, the song has achieved certified smash status, surpassing the success of «Espresso.»
It was undoubtedly a thrilling moment when the song became the number one song on Spotify, but Sabrina had a humorous response when she found out that the first single had surpassed the second.
Regarding the shift in the charts, she quoted a Pop-Crave post on X in her tweet.
Sabrina’s success extends beyond the Spotify charts. She recently accomplished a tremendous feat on the Billboard rankings as well.
According to the trade journal, she has the top songs on the Global 200 («Please Please Please») and Global excluding U.S. («Espresso») charts.
She is the first musician to accomplish this accomplishment with two different tracks and no listed partners (like featured artists).
The achievement occurs around a week after Sabrina rejoiced over landing her first number one song, «Please Please Please,» on the Billboard «Hot 100» chart.
Sabrina took a poll to celebrate reaching the top place for the first time and responded to a troll who claimed that she «fumbled» her second song.
She commented, «I will definitely always remember this day for the rest of my life because I’m very immensely grateful.»
