Nicole Kidman stars in a new criminal drama.
The teaser trailer for the six-episode limited series «The Perfect Couple,» starring Kidman and a star-studded ensemble, premiered on Thursday. The tale is set in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
The teaser begins with Kidman’s character, Greer Garrison Winbury, and actor Liev Schreiber’s character,
Tag Winbury, being questioned by a reporter who wonders if «unconditional love» is what keeps a 29-year marriage together.
Next, multiple scenes set the stage for Greer’s son’s wedding at her beachside property, with people arriving and snatches of celebrations taking place all around.
However, when a body is discovered on the beach, Greer is questioned by detectives who inquire if she has anything to say.
More odd moments emerge in the teaser when Eve Hewson’s character, Amelia Sacks, questions Greer’s family at a dinner scene why they require guests to sign nondisclosure agreements.
«They’re rich,» one character remarks about the family in the teaser. «Kill-someone-and-get-away-with-it rich.»
According to the premise for the series, which is based on author Elin Hilderbrand’s blockbuster novel of the same name, the show will follow Amelia, who is «about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket.»
