Katie Holmes was spotted out solo in New York City on Thursday — three weeks after celebrating daughter Suri’s 18th birthday.
The Dawson’s Creek star, 45, strolled the sidwalk in beige suede moccasins while chatting on her iPhone.
She layered a stylish black slip dress over a dark green tank top with brown trim.
Katie wore her silky brunette hair down and shielded her eyes with chic gold-framed sunglasses.
The actress accessorized with several layered chain necklaces for her afternoon errand run.
Katie made the move from Los Angeles to New York City in 2012 after divorcing husband of six years, Tom Cruise, 61.
The couple began dating in April 2005 and Holmes, who grew up Catholic, began studying Tom’s religion Scientology.
Their first and old child, daughter Suri Cruise, was born on April 18, 2006.
Seven months later, Tom and Katie tied the knot in November 2006 during a Scientology ceremony held at Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy.
Katie shocked fans while she filed to divorce Tom in June 2012. She was eventually granted primary custody of Suri.
It’s been reported that Tom has rarely seen his daughter in the last 11 years, despite being afforded visitation rights.
Last month, Suri rang in her 18th birthday in New York City while her A-list father was busy shooting the next Mission Impossible film in Europe.
Although he missed his daughter’s milestone, Tom did find the time to attend Victoria Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday bash in London two days later.
Now that Suri is a legal adult, the Interview With The Vampire star no longer has to pay child support.
It’s been reported that Tom forked over $33,000 per month, totaling around $400,000 a year, plus Suri’s expenses, such as medical and education.
While she’s estranged from Tom, Suri has a close relationship with mom Katie.
