John Mulaney and Olivia Munn exchange vows in a private ceremony
Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are entering a new chapter together.
The Newsroom alum and the comedian—who first sparked relationship speculation in 2021—got married over the July 4 holiday weekend, E! News can confirm.
As for the guest list? The couple’s 2-year-old son Malcolm and a witness were the only attendees at the private ceremony, held at a friend’s New York home, according to people.
News of John and Olivia’s marriage comes just days after she celebrated her 44th birthday with her family by her side.
As the actress, who recently opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis, reflected on Instagram July 3, «What a year.»
Indeed, the last 365 days have been challenging for Olivia, who endured four surgeries following her cancer diagnosis.
«Surprisingly, I only cried twice. I guess I haven’t felt like there was time to cry,» she shared in a March 13 Instagram post. «My focus narrowed, and I tabled any emotions that I felt would interfere with my ability to stay clearheaded.»
Olivia, whose health journey included undergoing a double mastectomy, says she was lucky.
«We caught it with enough time that I had options,» she explained. «I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day.»
After Olivia shared her diagnosis publicly, John commended her for her strength.
«Thank you for fighting so hard to be here for us,» he commented on her Instagram post. «Malc and I adore you.»
