I knew Maya Jama and Stormzy wouldn’t work together anymore; this will never work

Maya Jama and Stormzy have officially called it quits for the second time. The Love Island host and rapper lovebirds admitted that they ‘tried’ – but it just wasn’t enough.

And one woman knows exactly why. Model Nova Jewels, 28, has been and done the whole reconciliation thing with ex-partners many-a-time.

She even says that she got back with her old flame more times than she’s taken her knickers off…

But, ultimately, the Scottish model – who featured on the documentary Confessions of a Cam Girl – realised that she could not get the spark to reignite between herself and her past beaus.

Unlike fans of the Love Island host and the ‘Shut Up’ singer, Nova knew that Maya and Stormzy’s relationship was doomed to fail after they got back together in 2023 after four years of separation.

Speaking to exclusively to Daily Star about her correct prediction, Nova told us: «Getting back with an ex absolutely does not work.

«Take it from someone who has been there, done it and will never be seen dead doing it again. I don’t understand how people can get to a certain age and still be doing it.

«There is an entire world of human beings out there. Ones for you to connect with spiritually, mentally, and emotionally…why are you continually going back to the same person over and over?»

Presenter Maya Jama and Stormzy (real name Mike) first got together in 2014 when they were just 20 and 21. The pair were at the beginning of their now very successful careers and were «deeply in love.»

However, things turned sour in 2019 when they parted ways amidst rumours that Stormzy had been unfaithful during their relationship.

In the song ‘Lessons’, he said: «I’m done the dirt, and then I figured that you’ll dig it out.»

However, he later denied cheating, saying: «Do you know what? I actually didn’t cheat. I swear to God, I didn’t cheat.

So we had broken up, and I was out publicly being a rapper, being very inconsiderate to the fact that I’ve just come out of the most public relationship.

«We’d broken up, and I went out and I acted disrespectfully. I was just out in clubs. I knew the world still thought I was in a relationship, and I was out looking like I didn’t give an f**k. It didn’t need to be cheating for it to be a disrespect.»
