Cara Delevingne talks about her teenage years and how she dealt with addiсtioո
Cara Delevingne is talking candidly about her experience getting sober.
The model talked about her past battles with substance misuse in an interview with The Sunday Times that was published on July 7. She told the reporter that she «got drunk that day» when they first met in 2001.

«Eight is such a crazy age to get wasted,» the 31-year-old Delevingne said.
She also talked about the enormous fire that destroyed her unique home in Los Angeles in March and destroyed its roof.
«It’s unfortunate, but thankfully everyone is safe. If I hadn’t been sober, I would still be in shock about that,» Delevingne continued. Her cats were saved by firemen and made it through the ordeal.
«It would still have a profound effect on me. It’s very sad, so of course it affected me,» she remarked. «It never will not be. However, I don’t utilize it as a coping mechanism for my sadness.

She also talked about how she felt about going out all the time in the interview.
«I used to believe that using booze and drugs helped me deal. Nonetheless, they didn’t, and they made me feel extremely melancholy. I feel like I’ve regained control over my life and am no longer subject to other influences.»
She doesn’t mind, though, if her pals drink when they go out to parties, festivals, or other events.

The Carnival Row celebrity now goes sober to festivals. «It smelled bad, my feet hurt, and I didn’t stay up so late, but it was just as much fun,» she remarked after visiting Glastonbury sober. That is not how I want my life to change.
She also thought back to the pictures taken by paparazzi during the Burning Man festival in 2022, which served as a wake-up call for her and partly inspired her to enter sobriety.
«Listen, this is my job; this is what I do; I signed up for this.» But would I be sober now if it weren’t for that?
Regarding her most recent performance in London’s West End production of Cabaret, she remarked, «I’m really proud of that because I would have never been Sally Bowles.
