Beyonce wowed with her unusual performance at the Olympics
Beyoncé has a deep affection for Team USA.
In a brand-new video commemorating the opening of the Summer Games, the «Texas Hold ‘Em» singer sent a hearty greeting to the competitors in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Beyoncé stated, «Get a look at America, y’all,» in the July 26 NBC footage. «These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us—the people of the big, bold, beautiful, complicated nation.»

Furthermore, Beyoncé’s introduction of the team went beyond just showing off footage of American athletes succeeding in their respective sports.
The 42-year-old Grammy winner continued by giving a select «legends» extra shoutouts, including swimmers Caeleb Dressel and Katie Ledecky, as well as track and field athletes Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson.
However, the most endearing reference she made was to Simone Biles, calling her «my girl.»

About the gymnast, Beyoncé remarked, «Born to fly.» «Destined to inspire.»
The Cowboy Carter musician went on, «I can’t wait to see what they pull off over these next 16 days,» stating that she «believes in this team» because of the «pride and joy» of all the players.
«America give it up for Team USA, the very best of who we are,» she said. «What a vision to behold, what a team to believe in, what a night to celebrate.»

Though Beyoncé’s speech is deserving of a gold medal, other singers have also sent words of encouragement.
Céline Dion expressed her respect for the athletes who are risking everything for the Games, having recently returned to live performance on the steps of the Eiffel Tower in Paris for the Opening Ceremony on July 26.
