At the movie’s premiere, Blake Lively praised Ryan, saying it was the best thing he was there
The biggest fan of his wife is Ryan Reynolds.
The actor attended Blake Lively’s latest film, It Ends with Us, premiere on Tuesday, August 6, at latest York City’s AMC Lincoln Square.
Lively exclusively tells PEOPLE that having 47-year-old Reynolds by her side is «the best.» She also discusses the character evolution of her Lily Bloom and the love and support Lily gets from her family during the movie.
She begins by stating, «This movie is about a woman who experiences every color of human emotion and the people who love her and support her along the way,» adding that she is «so grateful» to have had such positive feedback at the premiere.
Lively, 36, honored Britney Spears at the event by donning a vintage Versace gown that the «Gimme More» singer first wore in 2002.
Additionally, she confirms exclusively to PEOPLE that the dress is the «actual» gown that Spears wore more than 20 years ago.
Reynolds, meanwhile, paid homage to Lively’s florist persona by donning an olive green suit and a white flower boutonniere.
Reynolds was joined by Lively’s costars, Justin Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Isabela Ferrer, and Alex Neustaedter.
Colleen Hoover, the author of the highly successful 2016 novel from which the movie was adapted, was also present. Hugh Jackman, who costarred with Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, also backed Lively’s most recent movie.
Following Lively’s similar support of her husband at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in New York City in July, Reynold attended the premiere.
On the red carpet on July 22, Lively joked with PEOPLE that her hubby was «supporting her» rather than the other way around.
